Though Falling, Not Forgotten

Though Falling, Not Forgotten

A Poem by Nourie
"

The trees have to shed them, the Leaves can only comply.

"

Green they are,
To the ground they fall,
Dancing on the wind.

Come the autumn,
Come the falling fall,
Trees let go.

The Leaves drift down,
To the ground they fall to,
Green no more.

The characterisation, of nature.

I too, have a most fond love of nature.....even if it isn't maybe what we would hope to think of it as.

I've of recent, come however to realise this truth: it may well be, that nature isn't what it is, that we would wish to regard it as - what's still true however, and what we can still find inspiration in, is our being drawn to it the way that we are.

Nice poem Nourie.

Really well written poem. I like the thought of fallen but not forgotten. Great that you came full circle with the green line tying in the beginning at the end.

My only critique is that the line "Come the falling fall" is a bit wordy with the double use of fall and then once more in the next stanza, but overall a nice, easy to read poem.

Keep writing!
