Daughter

Daughter

A Story by Mackenzie La Salle
"

A small something inspired by the light of my life.

"

My heart is in the shape of a child. Strong willed and loving as all get out. A heart of her own that absorbs everything so anything makes her really feel. Caring is a necessity that's too much at times. There's art in her eyes and sugar in her soul that even feeds those most starved for affection. Her mind is a maze that the most intelligent can get lost in. Diversity is in her mind's eye and what she appreciates most. She curls up in the warmth of her bearer and sleeps with the knowledge that happiness can be found even if the living is quiet and the days are identical. She inspires the best in people who know what it's like to feel low and she draws out the poison of the anxious mind and swallows it whole. She asks for little in return but is compensated with the unrequited adoration that she doesn't know she deserves.
