The Blue Speaks!

The Blue Speaks!

A Poem by Noel Isaac
"

*splash! splash!

"
I write this song while a whale is behind me,
In the middle of the sea.
While the moon is silver,
And my body shivers.

"Say this to your brothers, bother us no more." says the whale,
Its voice as sweeping as gale.
"Take away the nets and harpoons,
Take back the ships soon."

A shark snaps to my right,
While a dolphin blocks the moonlight.
Its shadow hangs above like a crescent,
A sea scythe sent for us men.

Multicolored fish form around us like a rainbow,
Screaming their agreement.
The fire in their eyes is fleeting like an arrow,
Ready to strike my heart.

Suddenly, a voice comes from under,
As commanding as thunder.
"This is the last. If you don't hear our plea,
Then feel our wrath!"

Wall of waves comes forth threatening,
The creatures are gone as swift as lightning.
My body trembles as the sea imprisons me,
Drowning me until darkness swallows me.
