The Daisy In The Metallic Rain (An Ode To Daisy Scharnhorst)

The Daisy In The Metallic Rain (An Ode To Daisy Scharnhorst)

A Poem by Noiz

Until streaks of burning ribbon pierce the pepper laced sky,

She will wait with sun drenched bodies.

Until clans of biting feeders find the will to fly,

She will care for what the little ones embody.

Until traveling shadows await with eyes ever wry,

She will riddle the clouds with the hope of a somebody.

I have watered the deluded tulips with metallic rain,

But still retain enough to make the shining daisy dance.

Until bubbly heads form a crease in stitched posters,

She will dare to crush the mighty tower they have made their home.

Until they offer silent cutlasses at the reddest of closures,

She will clip the tattered locks of a hermit made of chrome.

Until bustling antlers shine in the darkest shoulder,

She will lay lazy with one final sigh as we approach the gloam.

I have watered the deluded tulips with metallic rain,

But this day has instilled a cold churn within her and I am devoid of another chance.
