I dream the same dream each day

But the pain never goes away

Branded for all eternity

The enlist bliss of pain is my reality

I die inside each day

But the pain never goes away

As the ones we love and our sanity disappear

Our love ones never to reappear

I keep my mind focused come what may

But the pain never goes away

I love with the strength and intensity of 100 women

Life continues to bring me challenges to no end

I realize I go through this and some that I love do stay

But the pain never goes away

You promised me a love for all time

In the fleeting hours you given a way a love that was mine

As I hurt, love, laugh and cry, I know we are made from clay

But still the pain never goes away
