you’re dancing in front of me

tilting your head back and forth

I’m lying down,

my eyes are closed

you reach out and hold me by the arm

pull me up off the bed

and we’re dancing together

we’re twirling around the room

 

you smile at me

still tilting your head back and forth

and you look at me and sing along

“take a black cat and you sit it on your shoulder”

I lean in to kiss you

I open my eyes

and you are gone
