You Are a Gorgeous Little Gem, You Know That?

You Are a Gorgeous Little Gem, You Know That?

A Poem by ObscurityNone
"

Gemmed up, fucked.

"

A small ember encased in beautiful stone

Carved elegantly, just for me

Or so I thought

The erosion of time destroyed your gorgeous shell

You craved the outside, I was content

No

Overjoyed, with simple encased you

So outside you went, starting with help

Help from one who was mere friend

Turned trend

He was your new, stuck and feud

I was out, and kept in cold

I was no longer there, nothing new

Just old

Further and further the once elegant stone

Broke away

Cracked around me, not you

A smile you bare, with just the same

Stone’s throw away, with no stone to do so with

With the passing I cringe up

Become something all a stone of my own

Stuck inside, no beauty does this one hold

Yeah, things have come around

To be used, to be true, and to lie

I shut out, to be opened, prodded, and then

Released to a tight grip

Meanwhile that stone that you once were

Still shimmers, the shards on my floor.
