Calling

Calling

A Poem by Odrah

With the weight of my heart
Heavy and longing
I call to you
Mate of my spirit.

In love and divine blessing
I call you to me.
May your way be clear
So you will find me again.

With the desire of my heart
I fashion this prayer.
I speak it to the sky
To the wind, rain, and blessed sun.

Let us soon find our fingers intertwined
Our lips met
Our souls together again
Where they have belonged
Since Time's first breath.

The first stanza drew me in and I could feel this poem as each stanza after held me. Still when finished I went back to read that opening stanza again. Beautifully crafted work.

If only the heart could pulse out its own messages without the mind and body clumsily ruining everything. All the time. Most of the time. More often then not. Since time's first breath.

Very deep, meaningful poem, which makes me feel the spirit of time and love again...You write with such lightness, your images and feelings are clear, and I feel as if they are roaming in the sky. For me the real poetry should be the same - ethereal, thinking, exposing and hiding in the same time. Really beautiful. I specially like the last verses :
Our souls together again
Where they have belonged
Since Time's first breath.

I'm starting to get a feel for your style, characterized by spiritual longing. I appreciate the nature metaphors. I enjoyed the innovation-sense of the concept of this piece.

Each word perfectly describes the romance... I admire your skills.
