A Different View of Love

A Different View of Love

A Poem by The Girl Who Loved Too Much

I thought I knew what love was,

Until I fell in love with you,

I suddenly saw everything,

From a completely different view,

You consumed my every thought,

Like no-one ever had,

It was trouble from the start,

Man, I had it bad,

The connection was so strong,

I didn’t stand a chance,

With every word I was mesmerized,

You had me in a trance,

Suddenly every poem was about you,

You were in every line I wrote,

And it took everything in me,

To not write your name at the top of the note,

So many times I’ve wanted to tell you,

I’ve wanted to say those three words,

I’ve wanted to tell you what you mean to me,

In ways you’ve never heard,

So many times those words wanted to spill out,

Every feeling I’ve felt,

You’re beautiful, you’re wonderful, I love you,

I wish your heart didn’t belong to someone else.

Great job! Reads well and clear! The only recommendation I could offer is where you say "It was trouble from the start,". Especially with Taylor Swift making the line emote popular, it's ubiquity makes it feel a little unoriginal. If you found a new way to say the same thing it would keep people from drawing back on old references.
