The Light

The darkness had all but consumed me,

I had to find my way back to the light,

The end of the tunnel was within reach,

And I knew I could win this fight,

Every day was a battle,

I fought with my head and my heart,

If I wanted to win I had to give in,

And find a way to deal with both parts,

Memories of love lit a fire within,

They woke a part of me I thought had died,

My lost soul came back to life,

And I found the light, it was right here inside.
