Shattering Battlecry

One of my older works.

They make us learn history, so how come it still repeats?

They tell us that such things are wrong, so why do they do it?

You can't go a day without hearing sharp curses splattering through the air

They say long ago was easier, but  was it really?

Is this what the world has really come to?

Humanity's stupidity makes me shake my head in shame

But even if we are all wicked inside, it does not mean that we really

Have to just go along...

This is not what life is, I don't want to be this way

What is tranquility? It no longer exists

But if the whole world just lies, screaming at you

Remember they're just hiding the truth to it inside

Even if we are our own demise, before time runs out

I'll keep my head above the fog and scream His name out loud

And if you ever hear, join me in my battle cry

Shattering the lies we all have to live within

I almost laugh at such irony, that mankind is at its highest point

But all the same it hit the lowest, I wonder why so?

How smart everyone has become made everyone become more clueless

Mistakes from the pass affect our mistakes of today

They say "no God can be" like its some kind of joke

Seriously, I hate humanity's sheer stupidity!

"Or even if He is," they say, "He clearly doesn't care."

Why do you believe such lies?

This is not what life is, I don't want to be this way!

What is impeccable?! It no longer exists!

But if the whole world just lies, screaming at you

Remember they're just hiding the truth to it inside!

Living off the same problems, will no one ever learn?

Why do they just go on as if it won't hurt?

Perhaps they buried the truth so very very deep

That they just forgot it all...

As the world falls apart, hear the forgotten God's broken heart

For every person that's falls, countless tears pour from His eyes

He snapped the choking chains of lies when the world was still new

Why are they still hiding the truth to it inside?!

This is not what life is, we don't have to be this way!

This is depravity! But hope is not lost!

And as the whole world still lies, screaming at you

Remember they're just hiding the precious truth to it inside!

And when we are gone, when the time runs out,

And we're dancing above the fog, our screams of Him still loud

They will always remain, our shameless battle cry
