Species

Species

A Poem by Dream Weaver
"

(Thoughts while aimlessly wandering through life.)

"

Who am I but a dreamer? A dreamer bound to a world littered with fragmented par-amnesia.

A world full of anxiety hostility skepticism and Socratic irony. I sit silently and grow more in explicit that any hope for us to survive as a harmonious species is fleeting with every breath I draw.

Winds of misfortune blow melancholy for the future of generations that may or may not be so. Mercy be stricken from every tablet along with compassion and sensibility.

As greed becomes morally accepted in the grand scheme of life so to shall apathy for those whom are forced to be without.

I am handcuffed to a society of imbecilic voracious egoist. I refuse to cower in the shadow of injustice, I am out numbered drawn and quartered but will never succumb to this mass corruption we call life!

Powerful. I like this little piece on your rebellion against the absurdity of life. Just wrote one myself on another site called sissyphist insurrectionist'. It ended up being quite a rant. *eek* "Mass corruption we call life" a very good phrase. :)

Thank you kindly Cslime, much appreciated... :)
Good to see you writing again. I could feel the angst behind your words. Metal grinding on metal, trying your best to avoid judgement and all the sharp edges. We may be outnumbered by idiots, but that doesn't mean there are too few to out-smart them.
