Up In Your Arms

Up In Your Arms

A Poem by OnceUponAMelody
"

I figured I would attempt a love poem... So... Here.

"

How the esteem of a straight silent smile is treasured

Amidst the nonsense of an assumed forever

Feathers are flying about, both inside and out;

We are up in the air and our height can't be measured

Our surroundings stutter shyly, can't think of anything to say

Just an optimistic blue, nothing here to taunt the rain

It's just you and I, plenty here to get by

Securely embraced, we fly up and away

My insecure tongue hesitates, though everything is known

A volnerability like affection has always been too hard to show

But I can't hold it inside, I have a glow too bright to hide

And everyone can see it, we are stars and we have shown

I'm frustrated with this, it isn't my best work. It would be appreciated if you could tell me where I'm screwing up and how I can get myself back on track, for I've hit a block. Thank you.

I really wish I could see the colors that humans can't see. It irks me that it's impossible to imagine them. Oh yeah, I'm Hailey. Talk to me. more..
