A hot light bulb to straw kindle

A hot light bulb to straw kindle

A Poem by Jennifer Warrington
"

This needs a lot of work but it's a third draft of a good idea..it was from 2011.

"

This month of May

    Seems stuck

on the idea of

 a perpetual panic attack

Remember:

     Rapid shallow breaths,

          In-out-in-

               out-in-out

Spring-winter-

     Winter-spring

Rain-snow-

    rain-snow

       Inhale

             Dead leaf-

ground hog hibernation

       -frost fractals

       Exhale

             Mist-

    Robin wing- dog wood flower

                                    And cold fog over

                                                     warm grass…

I sit here,

On this empty Polk Center porch

Watching

the plum rich sky skin

    Split open,

        Slightly spilling

                          Not all

But just enough of her goodies,

A slight red breast or Bright coins,

    Plump and silver

Tumbling

    Head over tail

        Tail over head

   ,

    Deciding my call,

        Heads or tails

            I over you….

            You over I…..
