I walked
for days

across the

same

hundred

foot stretch

 

of asphalt

and

gloomy

grass.

 

The current

of my

thoughts running

below my

feet.

 

 

still as

sleep.

Deceptively simple.

For some reason, it reminds me of an expanse of decrepit parking lot I used to cross every morning on my way to class.
