Rose

Each stage symbolizes something to me but I'll let you interpret it however you like :)

A rose bud,

Pure and lovely,

Grows and blossoms.

The single flower,

A blood red bloom,

Seemingly immortal.

But the petals soon wither,

Red darkens to black,

And the captivating beauty,

Is no more.

Haha :) well my initial thoughts were the rose bud symbolizing purity, the single dark red bloom being simplicity , love, and unconscious beauty, and it turning black is death, or the end of the love. But to some people it is showing the stages of life so anything is right haha :3

I like it. Because in the end all things wither away and die. Humans after 80 or so years, flowers after a few weeks. An elegant way of stating this fact.
