I can't sleep

I can't sleep

A Poem by Martin Ostar

You hold me awake my crush
Is it your indifference that thrills
Or your being both fascinating and distasteful
You are a familiar looking stranger
A twin of what I love and often despise
You make me think and hate myself
Building up strategies I will not dare to utilise
You guide me to wasting time for you
Graciously I give up and you smile
The bear has danced his round
Is he still laughing you ask in a sneer?
I shake my head and kiss you
You suck the breath away I need to respirate
Without my ever having touched an inch of your soul
