A glance at the door

A glance at the door

A Poem by Nashville Rose
"

When death feels like a safer option

"

I lied to you

Giving up seems so much better

I've never really been brave

I was born a coward

I said I would keep trying

But that road seems awfully long

How many days have I walked

I've been going nowhere all along.

My feet ache from this ground

And my heart no longer exists

So I'm looking at the door

It seems like a nice exit

The door calls my name

So please don't be upset

I'll see you again

From the land of the dead
