Street Ghost

Street Ghost

A Poem by Jonhoi Vaughn

At 12:00 a.m. Strange things happen in the street
A single perspective to marginalize your peace...
Middled road,
Two lamps to cast eight shadows.
Two hearts-a-burden;
The one you walk with
The one you walk to.
So now... Walk quickly...
Because strange things happen in the street
You can't tuck heart;
Button up bloody sleeve.
12:00 a.m. and a big ghost descends
Slowly and timely flipping through books in the trees
