Clean Sweep

Clean Sweep

A Poem by PANDORA

There is no happily ever after
Just dust of death
Organized chaotic disaster
Don’t cheat yourself and pretend
There is a prince or princess waiting
In some time and space unknown
They live only in dreams we try to bend
Innocence lost does not equal freedom gained
Freedom gained does not mean peace
Peace lives only in few and far moments
Moments of happiness a w***e and tease
Tease a glance at what is golden
Golden is not the only rule
Rules are harmless to guide beholden
Behold yourself to find humility
Crying is just as deserving as being silly
Silly to worry about what cannot be changed
Be not willing to change and give way to fear
How is that living life to its fullest my dear?
Patience can be a cruel observer
Have none and snap to and fro
There must be a bit of curvature
Where is the beginning
Being death the ultimate ending
The sun is rising and that’s a start
Amongst the destruction still beats a heart

This is so good, Pandora...after all the realities kick in we witness the destruction of falsities but tomorrow is a new day and with that beating heart there is a chance that we can rebuild on better ground... you capture what I feel has happened in my own life: a clean sweep.... great poetry!!
