Love never disappears, it just diverts..

Love never disappears, it just diverts..

A Poem by PP

Love never disappears
It just diverts
In the journey
There are many crossroads and many potholes
Sometimes,
 lovers disconnect
They take their own course
They abide to their growing differences
The man decides to walk aside to catch a good view of the rainbow
The woman rushes to see if there is a pot of gold; at the end of the rainbow.
They get lost
Out of eachother's sight
Do their own thing
Follow their own instinct
They become solo singers in some crazy country pub
Sometimes they gather fans
Even enjoy few one night stands
But
In a crazy corner of their solo hearts
There is a space that is not their's
The love is still alive, and when they realise
They pack up and leave
They let their instinct guide their path
With a hope:
That they will meet again to restart a happy life
With a hope:
That their paths will cross again and everything will be fine..

Not sure if this is a pessimistic or optimistic post .. maybe it's how i'm feeling rather than how your wonderful words 'lay on the page'. We meet people, we say goodbye; surely the good and sweet times should be remembered and the dark shadows are what we might not want to learn but should. And maybe what we do take from the past leads to something special .. but then, it takes two to do that tango!

More people should read your writing, it deserves more than a quick scan, it always gets the mind working, this and other posts. Thank you.

Rare when two people will find the same path again. I had two different woman I tried a second time with. Didn't work. Age make us different. I did like the story in the poem. Good to meet people again. If the ending was a bad one. Always a opportunity for love. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

It’s a hopeful way to look at it but in practice it doesn’t really happen that way. It is a great write with lots of emotion, I can’t relate but I can appreciate it!

Wow, this is really deep, you have summed up some deep felt emotions. I've been through some separations lately and it touched some buttons for me. Good Poem.

If only... Maybe... If "love" was ever really theirs. The write was moderate for me and the concept felt a little bit like a desperate hope of realities denial. Still, over all, an enjoyable read.
Be well.

This is true to some degree. I love this but hate the Idea. I always hoped that me and my ex would someday get back together but like I always say It didn't work the first time It wouldn't work the second time it probaly won't work the third time. Good job

That "space that is not theirs" lies within each of us I fear. You have captured the course of most relationships in their most fundamental nature and given us a capsualized glimpse of ourselves. I can only appreciate the experience as you give it and wonder how you learned of such things. A marvelous job.

well yes, the truth. Exes always keep a place in our heart...and sometimes...there is always that hope, maybe the timing was wrong, the circumstances...

there is that sooner or later you and that person are meant to be together...so that door stays open...

sort of like that Bread song "it don't matter to me" where they sing..."cause they'll always be an empty room, waiting for you, and open heart waiting for you"

really nice stuff here...
