Acceptance is a tedious drill..

Acceptance is a tedious drill..

A Poem by PP

I am a little confused
With how nature works?
More annoyed than baffled
angrier than I should..
So much pain
it brings to old age
so many calamities
to those who are loved
and to those who
were once young and strong
beautiful or handsome
tick-tock of the biological clock
our race against time
wears off skin and bones
Leaving hearts and brains to choke
falling victims to the cycle of life
I don't agree to how it works
It shouldn't be the way it is
acceptance is a tedious drill..

Well my Friend,
it has always been that way
& I guess it always will
It don't stop it though
from being one hell of a tedious drill.

THE CYCLE OF LIFE AND THE WAYS OF IT ALL...THE BIRTH - THE LIFE - AND THEN DEATH...SEEMS THAT'S JUST THE WAY THINGS GO...EXCEPT HOPEFULLY THERE IS AN AFTER LIFE...NO ONE EVER COMES BACK...SO I BELIEVE THERE IS A CHANCE...THAT WE DO NOT GO THROUGH THE TEDIOUS DRILL LIKE YOU SAY IN THE LINES...

THERE MUST BE A PLACE AND TIME...WHERE WE ARE BUT A CONSTANT...IMMORTALITY THEY SAY...WE WILL FIND OUT EVENTUALLY...

a tedious drill it is....
I have been gardening lately- and I have noticed that beautiful and handsome even reflect in vegetation
an artichoke- hard to grow requires much attention
corn- easy to grow develops hardy on it's own
so we as people are made the same way ...what makes the artichoke so divine? it takes up so much of it's own life pimping and pruning while corn just hangs and takes care of it's self...they should be worth the same...but even vegetation has a scale of life
sorry for my lengthy words...but this is what I thought of with your wonderful write*)
thank you for sharing

Prathama, Sorry I dropped so late to your poem, I really loved this work of your and this one is full of truth and reality. Picture states all what you are looking for. Humble write and execution of this poem was purely done very well.
Must read more of your work :)

Thank you so much for this reality and truthness which exposes human travelling from birth - death.

Kudos!

It really can be, especially when we live through all of those calamities and struggles, and feel the tugs upon our hearts strings as we get closer to our eventual end point on earth. I like how you showed us that struggle from all of the things that go with it, right down to an eventual effort to make sense of it all.

You're welcome. Yes it is!
Oh those rules that so called "society" puts on us... telling us how we should be at different ages and what we should have... I am not one to follow the status quo either. Love the free spirited nature of the poem.

Thank you Dale, people often forget that society is what we make of it. To hell with society! Lol
