Override

Override

A Poem by PP

When money overrides emotions
Laws of attraction change
Our worlds become slave to conditional attachments
Love becomes mere fate
We buy all that money could possibly buy
and decorate our affectations
We measure the love that is shared
through constant observation
There is no balance in the give and take equation
Because greed overrides equilibrium
Feelings often don't get a place
In this derailed junction of society
What people don't understand while crunching numbers in their heads is that;
They are stupid monkey's
Under the watchful eyes of
may be a killer beast
or guinea pigs of a mental scientist!

Sometimes people do that and it's like evolving state and religious , they don't work together, and shouldn't.

Guess you are right! But it's annoying :(
That was straight up hard hitting and I could not agree with you more... we can blame society as to why money rules many people's hearts... all that leads to is an empty soul.

You push the issue in this write...just as you titled the verse...I would like to point out certain areas:

We buy all that money could possibly buy
We measure the love that is shared
through constant observation
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
here you seem to want to use the same effectiveness:

What people don't understand while crunching numbers in their heads is that;
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What we don't understand
while crunching numbers in their heads is that;

just seems like a long sentence of thought...you separated your other lines...this has a lot of anger and yet a conviction...to respond...

True story... Yes I think in society there is too much focus on material things..
a line in one of my poems reads "oh to go back to the simple one bedroom days of love. The days before the crown molding and waterfall'd pool" You have written a timely piece and the last line is great..
thank you , shallimarRose
