Autumn

Autumn

A Poem by PViper

A buzz was felt in the air, both exciting and frightful;
A warm breeze tickled the skin whilst fresh drops of rain began to fall lightly on to the mossy ground;
The atmosphere was charged - electric;
Pulses through the air could be felt to the very core like the Old Gods were calling to all of nature to rise.
Leaves danced in the fields, flying up and twirling with delight,
Before swooping down dramatically only to pick up again.
The trees moved and groaned in anticipation.
The winds brought with them a sweet zingy smell along with huge rolling clouds.
Fierce hues of purple, grey, and orange rained down from the sky.
Lowly began the rumbling sound of thunder. Threatening and violent.
The skies were then filled with a piercing bright light which stunned the murmuring Earth.
The rain became heavy and unmerciful. Harsh. As the savage and ferocious thunder rolled through the landscape, beating its chest.
