Fairy Dust

Fairy Dust

A Poem by paintmeparadise
"

What it feels like to lose your soul mate and a part of yourself

"

I’ve cried a lifetime of tears for you,

Scrubbed my body raw,
Banged against every wall.
Then I finally sat down and talked to God.

Sometimes we think that life is almost over,
That the rain has fallen,
The storm passed.

But thousands of years from now,
Many tears from now,
When the youngest trees have fallen,
The deepest oceans dried,
I wish upon a star.

That out of the sun you’d be born,
A tingling at the tip of my toes,
Unintelligible at first,
But then stronger in force.

My fairy dust.
