Disappointments Come

Disappointments Come

A Poem by mysticgmekeepr
"

gifts of reflection

"

Disappointments come,
But only on the heels of expectation.
We set ourselves up...
We hope, we wish, we pretend and project,
we will it to be,
and our wishful thinking lies there like
weeds burnt by summers sun,
drooping under the weight of warm want.....
too little moisture,
too small the investment;
Too much wish and
Too little work
and the return is small;
the interest nothing at all.

I really like how you subtitled this "gifts of reflection." You really put some useful knowledge into a well formed poem here. Every word here is meaningful. Excellent all the way around!
