Simple Life

Simple Life

A Poem by mysticgmekeepr

A simple life of contentment
can arrive out of nowhere
like an uninvited guest...
and what do I wear?
what do I serve in its honor?
So unfamiliar as to be almost unwelcome.
Where is its sister chaos;
and who am I ?
stranger in my familiar flesh.
Who am I ?
breathing peace like air,
feeding on these follicles of joy?

This sounds like you could've been having fun. I would like to hear that you are enjoying something so calming.
That's probably not understandable, but I assure you that you would be good at explaining how the scene is and looks and how it makes you feel. Something so simple as just waking up can be favored in a such a beautiful way, people will be enlightened from the condemned absent mind and sorrow. lol.

thanks so much for your reviews on my work ;-)

Oh this is rich....simple and full of a wealth of meaning between the lines. We long for the simple life, the unencumbered life where things flow smoothly....and then along comes the other sister ;-) I love this part:

Where is its sister chaos;
and who am I ?
stranger in my familiar flesh.

Short and beautiful.
I sat here a second and thought about it.

When you are used to life being so complicated that when things get easier you feel out of place.
You feel lost.
You don't know what needs to be done.

I really like this.
Great write.
