Deuces Wild

Deuces Wild

A Poem by Schlechter Kornwurm

Deuces Wild

four of spades
queen of sharades
we must quit this
freak parade
and live amongst
the fools instead
invite the chaos of our heads
to accompany us
in search of bread
or seek to lie alone in bed
instead

oh king of hearts
and jack of fools
give me the light
and i'll give you the tools,
to cut from within
the smatter of lies
to find the queen
in the heart of flies

and nine of clubs
in clattering blunder
i'll hetrify you within
and cut you asunder
you wish to lay alone
and become the diamond king
i'll rip out your voice
with a six spaded string

and five of diamonds
shine ever brightly,
for in the dim lit night
i'll find thee kindly
waiting for clubs
with a jagged knife,
to cut out my heart
and to live my life,

but tonight i'll wait
with deuces wild
to dance with the queen
her beauty defiled
and i'll rape the suits
from high to low
be the prince of sharades
in this freak show parade
