paper thin walls

paper thin walls

A Poem by Pharaoh
"

relationship with my mother

"
The walls are paper thin.
Did you think they weren't?
I hear every word you say.
Did you think I couldn't?

I'm only two feet away while your words float carelessly towards me. But, you don't care now do you?

"Worthless.", "Good for nothing...", "Should have had a son."

Why do you say these things momma? What did I do wrong!? I'm not perfect. Is that it? Is that why you prefer a son!? Your words cut through me momma as I sit here alone with these paper thin walls.

This felt like a very personal piece, we all have to encounter things in life which we don't really want and words do really cut deep, a very good read well done
