Emptiness

Emptiness

A Poem by InsideMyHead

I love, love.
I fall so quickly.
I ignore all the flags.
I always see the potential.
I beg my heart to slow down but she never listens.
I tell her we been through this before, but she doesn't care.
It's like the more I scream, the more she falls.
She says he's not like the others.
He won't break us
He will cherish us.
I listen to her
I believe her
And you know she's right he's not like the others
Because you see the others made cracks and dents
But him, he shattered us to pieces
Until we were Unrecognizable.
She don't speak to me anymore
I try to reach out but all I get is silence
All I get is cold.
She no longer lives where she once was.
Now I beg the emptiness inside for the heart I once had.
