Hiding behind my cigarette

Hiding behind my cigarette

A Poem by Parsa
"

Lines about nostalgia

"
Couldn’t light a cigarette
Without thinking of you
You have been the start of everything
You have been the end of everything.
Its the same green sofa
Wooden chair and table
Im trying to light up a cigarette
Under warm yellow light
To hide what's trying to resurface
My well treasured little scandal
Of wanting you in holy places
Of wanting you in unholy places
With blemished desire
Of naked affection and obscene love
That raises brows of liberals
That slaughters women with veil.
And the perverted wish of only you
Wrapping me beside a neo bohemian fireplace.
Im trying to light up a cigarette
But I cant without thinking of you.
