The God of Soft Fire

The God of Soft Fire

A Poem by Parsa
"

Expression of gratitude and love

"
In those flickering city lights
All the horns and honking
I hear you behind my ears
you sincerely telling me
I have to give you something.
You did way better than something.
For you gave me a glimpse of everything.
Habits that will last for decades
Urges that will keep me up at nights
And heavy sighs in random days
Of what we could be but what we had become.
How my lips would try to replicate the essence of your presence on the skin of others.
How I would indulge in the memories of those brief yet deep pecks
That felt more like a warm embrace than just a seductive reunion of lips.
When I will try to draw ashes on the right point of my half burnt cigarette
Those gray carbon would
Remind me of the most melancholic yet most vivid week of love, affection, grief and happiness.
Those eyes would always make me leap with joy
Maybe under a yellow light or in my mind.
You gave me little more of something,
You gave me a bouquet of devotion, warmth, soft love
And whole lot of your kind of love.
A lot of reckless,shameless,intense
Profuse my kind of love.
You met my storm with your calm
And my scorching heart
Bled one more time with
Depth and layers of gratitude, perplexed feelings
That I run away everyday.
You weaved me the most gorgeous fabric of spontaneous love, grand gestures and raw vulnerability with tinge of my own reflection and your battles.
I know I will wrap it on my hardest days if I go numb by the unforgiving frostbites.
