memories fade and are replaced by dreams
dreams of what I wanted them to be

a breath and sigh and joyous smile
I find I am broken they are no longer mine

deep breaths withheld for with them come tears
I hold my breath to keep from showing my fears

mourning a process of great loss
I vow to close that part of my heart
