Beyond Doubt

Beyond Doubt

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Beyond Doubt

I was falling,

tumbling into the abyss again,

when you reached for me.

My faith was shattered,

like a mirror of dreams

cast jagged across a stone cold floor;

sharp shards to be swept away forever.

But now I am whole,

complete; I glow in anticipation.

And now as I fall

it is into your eyes

seeking the sensual, safety of your soul,

drinking your smile

and devouring the luscious

sweet comfort of your loins.

That I would give myself,

pledge my body and soul to you,

is beyond doubt.
