Never Knew MeA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenNever Knew Me You are decite, so disengenuous. You flaunt perfection like a fake tan. You carry self belief like a death shroud thick and musty around my neck. A tyre to soak in petrol and set alight and torch my soul until scorched to ash. Nothing is left of me but particles for the wind to disperse in easy puffs. No substance, no meaning, no identity of my own. You never saw me, you certainly never knew me. 28/12/11 © 2012 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
