22 MonthsA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenTwo guesses which movie inspired this as an expression of pain?22 Months For 22 months the rock of our relationship had me pinned fast. I came with vigour and enthusiasm into your canyon. A place of such mystery, a place of beauty; a place of artistry promised. But as I explored in wonder I became wedged tight as the weight of your debt and unrealistic demands and expectations fell on me. For months I raged against this bolder until my whole body was battered and bruised. But still I tried to find cause. In my delerious dreams I saw hope but each time I awoke my fate seemed as certain as death. And so I severed the limb that I dearly cherrished, and desired, and was freed to live again. 26/04/12 © 2012 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
