Butterfly Sting

Pain!

So much agony

and wrenching of the heart.

So much acrimony

in endings.

Such a waste of creation,

of building love and expectation;

naïve or not.

Such a rapid collapse

of inflated fanciful fantasies

comes brick hard;

leaves a cold and empty shock,

an angry disbelief.

After all,

none of us ever expects

a butterfly sting.

absolutely, thus the reason we must be very careful who and what we trust. Every dog we meet does not bite but we must remember that they still have teeth.
