You Cannot See MeA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenYou Cannot See Me I was long lost; searching to be seen. You found me, entreated my attention, and I came to cherish you heart and body and soul. I begged for the mercy of your love but that was something hurt just couldn’t give; For you had, you said, loved him once upon a time, and that such love would never be for me. The frailty of justice is hard to know when we both felt us to be so special. We were dedicated lovers who stood side by side; such a natural union I thought it truly made. But past love had you grounded in despair and, blinded by its wretched pain, you cannot see me. 19th August 2010 © 2012 John Alexander McFadyenReviews
