Filigree Heart

Filigree Heart

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Filigree Heart

Judge not those whose hearts

you cannot see,

whose soul is buried deep

within the womb

of their safe haven.

Do not count me

in the bronze coins

of your own self doubt.

For I silence wagging tongues

with such brutal confidence.

I care not

what spills from

such diseased mouths.

I hold no pity

for their platitudes,

for their insincere, mischievous malevolence.

Yet such honesty

becomes self brutalising,

brings with it pain.

I may seem like a black knight

riding armoured to battle,

but deep inside

lays delicate tracery.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
