May I have The Pleasure?

May I have The Pleasure?

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

May I have The Pleasure?

Your reticence

is driving a wedge between us.

We have bowed and curtsied

for far too long

and now it is time

to begin the dance,

to take to the floor,

face to face,

toe to toe,

eye to eye.

A most romantic encounter

as we partner

in an airy and elegant waltz,

our bodies gliding as one

as we float lightly

in happy, warm, milky

satisfaction.

Yes, sometimes the little dance we do can get frustrating. Get on with it already! Stomp feet! Some people are slower than others to pick up the pace.

And in this case she will never commit! Thank you 'M'
well, isn't this one a tease.... Not really nice of you to tease a lady now... just saying... beautifully written with charm and finesse, it seduces the reader to the dance floor promising satisfaction and magic... and you left me there... alluring me with elegant flow of words, delicious imagery, and heart fluttering sentiment, then... right as my heart is speeding up, ready for the action... the end... oh my goodness.... shame on you... alas, I shall recover, but am going to pout anyways.. captivating, sensual, and romantic.. I really did enjoy.. I love the way you write...

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
