Undecided

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Knocking on the door looking for answers!

"

Undecided

What will happen to books and art

and culture,

when the day of reckoning comes?

Will we disappear into mythology

as did Greek and Roman Gods?

Will we become the new lost tribes

of Africa and the Amazon,

left wandering eternal rain forests

like ants trying to rebuild

their nest after tropical floods?

What about access to Apple and Amazon,

Wikipedia and dating sites?

Will he confiscate our mobile phones,

like an over protective parent?

Will we still have Netflix

and BT Sport and BBC iPlayer

on our tablets?

Will God close down the internet

or give us a broadband upgrade?

What about the promise of space travel;

will he maroon us at home in Heaven's

herbaceous gardens and cloudy fields,

or help us to explore the Final Frontier?

Will he even let Scotland keep its independence?

Well you know what?

Until I get some answers,

I for one, am not

voting for the geezer!

Aha! such an amazing poem reminding us of our excessive use of technology today and preaching a positive message that use gadgets but don't also forget HIM:)Because he is our destiny. He is the one controlling us and everything. If he has the power to give,he also has the power to take:)
Wonderful song too

I'd like to believe that the creative breath will be a flame that will never be snuffed out. We can all measure the limits of our future with the same limits we put in our gods.
Fun and thought provoking. :)

So you will not vote for G-d then? Sorry, but I am smiling and I am not at all sure this was supposed to be humorous. Certainly thought provoking poetry.....what would happen if all our poetry vanished and future generations never knew of its existence? Well, I suppose we will never know, will we? That is, of course, unless G-d gives us that broadband upgrade and we can see it all going viral on youtube! :) Unique write. Lydi**

if he closes down the internet, there will be many looking for an instruction manual on how to build an Ark.

but what a thought you have here...what if everything was gone...and all of the poets and poetry we are accumulating now just became a myth....something only some people believe actually existed.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
