Breaking the CycleA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenLove addiction.Breaking the Cycle The dregs of love have long been washed from my cup. I have supped there often, imbibed the heady caffeine until so intoxicated I could not stand. All I wanted was the free refill, more of their toxins flowing in my blood as the endorphins multiplied. But little did I see the poison I had been tricked to ingest, the seeping septic arsenic they had bid me swallow. But I, I am made of sterner stuff than their venom can command. Now I am reformed, purged, detoxified. Cured of this addiction. And from now trust will be an empty dry affair. 15/06/15 © 2015 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
