Moribund

Moribund

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Moribund

Thick cobwebs of doubt

ensnare each fly of thought

in the sticky

black, bitter molasses

of life's entanglements,

until I am so bogged-down

in the mire of my own misery

that I simply sink

beneath the tarry sludge

that binds me to this earth.

Great poem, sort of reminds me of a bad Monday, following onto the rest of the week.
