Writing's Not For Me!

Writing's Not For Me!

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Everyone to their Own!

"

I tried to write a sonnet

but the words just would not flow,

my pen was dry and empty

thus I had no verse to show.

I called my muse to ask her

to inspire me once again

but she was with her lover

as she always gets her man.

I looked into the future

and delved deep into my past

searching for the old writings

that I thought would always last.

But as there was no answer,

I'm now a belly dancer!

I took a belly dancing class years ago I'm glad to know I have a good option to fall back on.

I got the belly for a belly dancer, not the movements. I enjoyed your words and thoughts John. I hope you are enjoying the days of Summer.

Thank you Jacob. I was just in a frivolous mood lol!
Loved the humour John in this write. I checked the beats as well. You nailed it with sevens all the way through. Bet you feel as though you were in a straight jacket :))
