End of Life SongA Poem by John Alexander McFadyenAging is not maturing but drying up!The walls
are closing in as someone
steals the hours from the
day, the weeks
from the months and the
months from the years. This
truncated existence, this
condensed version of life, accelerates
as it drags me kicking and
screaming to the edge of
the abyss. Life that
once had the luxury of years is now compressed
into moments. Fleeting
ones at that, as I slide inevitably towards the slippery
edge. 27/09/20 © 2020 John Alexander McFadyenAuthor's NoteReviews
