In Their Gaze

In Their Gaze

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

It is so easy to be critical of others.

"

They watch like hawks,

from afar,

ready to pounce

upon any carrion,

while they stay

safe in their electronic

fortresses.

They paint scandal

with their warped minds

and they tap on the window

like nosey old crones.

Curtain twitchers,

watching through

fabricated gaps,

from their

dark hearted

cold rooms.

They waggle their

bony fingers

in disapproval

and waggle their tongues

as their gossip

spews upon

blank and empty pages.

Their misery

and meaningless life

is amplified

in such a critical

gaze.

But their eyes

are empty ice

and their hearts

frozen,

and they will

die sad,

forgotten,

and still alone.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
