Power Failure

Power Failure

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

The world is now a less certain place as the mighty vie for control.

"

We hold our breath

and still await

the fate of the world,

as America decides.

Decades of rule,

home and away,

as power dictated

the role of master.

But the sea ice

has now cracked

and global warming

has heralded

a more fragmented

landscape,

where the land

of the free

is drowning

in its own vomit

and no longer

has command

of the waves.

And reading this we still hold our breath. My view is that people thought the last 4 years were divided and I couldnt disagree more. After this election fiasco it will only get worse. I just hope Biden remembers he's the president and not a senator. The title is perfect John. I like it.

Great title John. What a state of affairs. The world sits and waits this fiasco being played out. I'm not enamoured by either potential leader. Is that really, the best of the bunch? A pointed pen, spot on.

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
