A Razor for Your Thoughts

A Razor for Your Thoughts

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

For some the future is bleak

"

Forget pennies

they have no currency

anymore.

Not in these Covid days,

vaccine

or no vaccine.

Not since every nation

broke into its own

bank,

stole it's own reserves,

poured bad money after

worse money.

Withdrawing all

your savings

and spending more

than you have,

simply piles on

the misery,

for decades to come,

leaves the only winners

the supermarkets,

on-line merchants,

mask makers,

stock market

risk takers,

virus fakers,

bad news,

news papers.

As food banks

burgeon,

unemployment soars

and repossessions

abound,

for some,

suicide

is the only sound.
