Grief I,II,III,and IV

Grief I,II,III,and IV

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Grief [I,II, III and IV]

I

Some flee from grief

Like startled crows.

II

Some wallow in grief

like pigs in s**t.

III

Some hide from grief

with hollow eyes.

IV

Grief will catch you cold,

no mater how you try,

best embrace it now.

I wonder if those hollow eyes actually see more than we can imagine they do.

The last one caught me. I have a hard time latching on to grief in the moment...it is eons later and then
it latches on to me.

Thank you Jacob. I hope your grief disapates more each time it catches you.
Very true. I have tried all those escapes. Very well said as well. Grief almost sounds like the grim reaper here. Not one that comes for those who will die, but coming for those who have to live with loss.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
