Neanderthals Don’t Write Poetry

Neanderthals Don’t Write Poetry

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

They really don't!

"

Transketolase-Like 1,

a single amino acid building block,

gave us an advantage

over the Neanderthal.

Allowed us to increase

frontal lobe neurons

to better support

our cortal lobe functions,

giving our sensory perception,

emotion, and cognition,

the edge.
